Overlooking the Inner Harbour in downtown is the impressive Parliament Building, home to the Legislative Assembly of Victoria. Construction for the building began in 1893, and ended in 1898. It is where laws are determined for the province of BC.
In front of the building stands a 100 ft Sequoia, the province's official Christmas tree. Over 3600 lights adorn the outside of the parliament building, making it a stunning sight at night as well as day!
While it's one of the most visited buildings for tourists in Victoria, there are many events that locals enjoy too. Concerts, debates, ceremonies, and Canada Day celebrations (complete with fireworks), to name a few!
A must-see when visiting the city of Victoria. Original painted using watercolour and India Ink.
